Over to you
We’ve already heard from many of you that the AVU is plugging a much needed gap. We’ve heard all sorts of stories of how vets in Aotearoa have found themselves in situations where they wished they’d had a Union to back them.
And honestly? We’re not shocked. Because these stories are things we have all already either heard from friends and colleagues, or experienced ourselves.
So we thought we’d hand the mic over. The AVU is here to amplify vet voices, so that’s what we’re going to do. It’s time our experiences were brought into the light, not whispered in lunchrooms.
Anonymously submit your story below. Don’t include any details that allow you or your employer to be recognised. We are not looking to intervene in any cases (contact us directly for that) - but we want to get a picture of the kind of issues vets in Aotearoa are facing. Let’s precisely document the problems in the industry, so we can work out how to fix them.
It has been well documented in other industries that having a start point to demonstrate the issues facing a community is important in finding the solutions.
Please note that the information gathered here may at some point be used to publish a paper on what we find (depending on quantity and quality of data gathered). Your submission indicates that you consent to your story being used in this way, but the data will always remain anonymous.
