Te Tiriti o Waitangi

The Aotearoa Veterinarians' Union acknowledges and upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa New Zealand.​ Therefore, the Union commits to:

Partnership: Actively engaging with Māori as partners in the governance and activities of the Union.

Protection: Promoting and safeguarding the rights, interests, and well-being of Māori members and the Māori community.

Participation: Ensuring equitable opportunities for Māori to contribute to and participate in all levels of the Union.  

This commitment will guide our practices, policies, and advocacy to foster inclusivity and uphold the spirit of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
